5 Things Every UNN Student MUST Do Before The Commencement of Second Semester Examination

It is no more news that the University of Nigeria Nsukka has gone almost half way in her second semester for 2016/2017 academic session. As every student of UNN know, second semester of every academic session is the shortest semester. Also in every second semester, so many activities take the order of the semester. Activities ranging from Faculty week,Departmental week, burn fire nights, lots of picnics, Fellowship activities, final year send off parties and so many to mention but a few.
 With all these tremendous activities, lots of students find it difficult to combine all these activities and still prepare for the fast approaching examination.
    To this effect, I have decided to outline 5 important point students need to know in order to do well in the forth coming exams.


  • REGISTER YOUR COURSES

Students are to register their courses online. The registration of a course online is a prerequisite for a student to participate in any exam. Failure to register a course online, automatically leads the student to not writing the exam. Hence for those who have not yet done their course registration online, visit the UNN Portal  and register your courses. Also most Courses also require manual registration too, therefore, all manual registration must also be done too to enable you sit for the exam.



  • ATTEND ALL YOUR LECTURES

After you have register for a course, it is expected of you to attend all your lectures and be punctual to these lectures. Its has being a law in UNN that before a student can take part in any exam, he or she must have attended at least 75% of the lecture. Thus attend all your lectures and have your name signed for on the attendance list.



  • PLAN YOUR YOURSELF
It has become a habit to students. Most students live without planning. A student can plan himself or herself  by creating a personal timetable. The timetable must be well structured in a way that can accommodate both study, social and spiritual life. With this, a good student can be able to cope even with the tremendous activities  running on campus.


  • STUDY IN AND OUT OF SEASON


It is expected of every serious minded student to read (STUDY). 75% of students in the world today read their books only during exam period. This mind set is wrong. Every student aspiring to be successful must Read, not only read but STUDY.
STUDY TO MAKE YOURSELF APPROVE.


  • PRAY IN AND OUT OF SEASON

As every student wants to study in and out of season, So is he expected to pray in and out of season. PRAYER we all know is the KEY to success. Reading alone will know guarantee sure success but including the God factor will grant ultimate success.
Just as Jesus told his disciples "watch and pray for you not to fall into temptation", I am telling you to "READ and PRAY for you not to fall into FAILURE".

Plant Science and Biotechnology UNN Chapter Departental week

UNN is growing day by day both academically, socially and spiritually. Like we all know, all works and no play makes jack a dull boy. To this effect, the department of Plant Science and Biotechnology organised her departmental week. The week started yesterday which was the Cooperate day for the department. The most interesting day in the week is today which is the Old School Day.    The old school day is a day set aside to appear on old school attire. Team UNN Today had the opportunity to cover some of their hilarious appearance.
